The Addis International Film Festival is held annually in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Organized by Initiative Africa, an education based non-governmental organization, it is the largest independent documentary cinema festival in Africa. It is centered around films with educational and socially responsible themes and is staged every year in March-April.
Film Submission to AIFF 2012 are now Open! Deadline for submission is January 20, 2012.

Feature, medium and short length documentaries of any style or subject produced for television, cinema, online, or as part of film school work, are welcomed for consideration into the 2012 official program.
Submissions are considered only in a DVD format.
We require 2 DVD PAL screeners (copies) of your film/video for film selection and jury viewing purpose. Please include synopsis, a poster or a scene from the film in JPG format, brief filmmaker bio, as well us brief history of the film (festivals, awards...)
all DVDs must be labeled with the following information:
- Film title, name of the director, running time, category, shippers information.
Any press material is highly welcome. Films made in languages other than English should have an English subtitle.
